Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing or using the WeCoMed app (the "App") you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms (the "Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. The service
WeCoMed is a platform for medical organisations and their members, providing:
- A digital professional profile and NFC doctor card
- Medical event registration and check-in via NFC, QR code or manual entry
- Submission and approval of attendance evidence
- Recording of CME credits and WeCo reward points
- Notifications, session management and an AI question-and-answer assistant
WeCoMed is not a medical device and is not for clinical use. It does not support diagnosis, treatment or patient monitoring, and it stores no patient records.
3. Eligibility
To use the App you must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be a healthcare professional, medical student or related staff member, issued an account by an organisation that uses WeCoMed;
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
The App does not offer public self-registration. Accounts are created by organisation administrators.
4. Account and security
- Sign-in is verified in two steps with a one-time code (OTP) sent to your registered phone number or email address.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account. Do not share your account, OTP codes or a signed-in device with anyone.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, sign the unknown device out from the "Session management" screen and notify support@wecoap.com immediately.
5. Your organisation
Your account is linked to one or more organisations. An organisation may create, update and deactivate your account within that organisation, and sets the policies for its events, check-ins and credits. When you cease to be a member of an organisation, your access to that organisation's data may be revoked.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Check in on someone else's behalf or have someone check in for you, use another person's NFC card, spoof your location, or otherwise create attendance records that did not happen;
- Upload forged, misleadingly altered or third-party evidence as your own;
- Misstate your academic title, specialty or practice licence number;
- Access other users' or other organisations' data without authorisation, or test the system's security without our prior written permission;
- Reverse-engineer, interfere with, automate or use third-party tools to interact with the App outside its official interface;
- Upload unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of others.
Breaching these rules may result in credits being revoked, your account being locked, and your organisation being notified.
7. NFC cards
- NFC doctor cards are issued and managed by your organisation.
- Each card is linked to one account and is non-transferable.
- Report a lost card to your organisation immediately so it can be locked. You remain responsible for records created before you report the loss.
8. Attendance evidence
When you upload evidence (images, PDF, documents) you confirm that it is truthful and that you are entitled to use it. You retain ownership of your content and grant WeCoAp and your organisation the right to store, display and process it for the purposes of verifying and recording attendance.
9. CME credits and WeCo points
- The CME credit value of each event is set and approved by the organisation. WeCoAp provides the recording tool only; we do not issue CME certification and do not represent any health regulator.
- Whether credits count towards issuing or renewing a practice licence is decided by the competent authorities and the training body.
- WeCo points are internal reward points with no monetary value; they cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-transferable.
- Organisations may adjust or revoke credits and points where an error or fraud is found.
10. AI assistant
The in-app AI assistant helps with questions about using the app and about events. AI-generated content may be inaccurate and is absolutely not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment guidance or professional opinion. Do not use it for clinical decisions and do not enter patient information into the chat.
The feature uses a third-party service (Google Gemini). For details of the data processing see Privacy Policy, section 7.
11. Intellectual property
The App, its source code, interface, the "WeCoMed" and "WeCoAp" marks and all related intellectual property belong to WECOAP CO., LTD. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App within the scope of these Terms.
12. Fees
The App contains no in-app purchases and is free for individual users. Platform fees, where applicable, are agreed separately between WeCoAp and your organisation under a service agreement.
13. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the App at any time and request account deletion.
- We or your organisation may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your organisation's service agreement ends, or where required by law.
- The sections on intellectual property, liability limits and governing law survive termination.
14. Disclaimers and liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law:
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for your particular purpose.
- We are not responsible for an organisation's decisions on approving attendance or awarding and revoking CME credits.
- We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of the App.
These limits do not exclude liability that Vietnamese law does not permit to be excluded.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you in the App or by email at least 15 days in advance. Continuing to use the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Disputes will first be addressed through negotiation; if unresolved within 30 days, they will be submitted to the competent court in Ho Chi Minh City.
